Sister Justina Marie Miller OSF Scholarship

Established in her honor, Sister Justina was a former principal who devoted 22 years of leadership and education to the St. Mary of the Lakes School.  

The Sister Justina Marie Miller OSF Scholarship is awarded to two 8th grade students who seek a Catholic High School Education.  Recipients are selected by 7th and 8th grade teachers and approved by the prinicipal.  Recipients of this award must demonstrate examples of courage, responsiblity, a spirit of volunteerism and a pleasant manner.  Sister Justina believed that these unique qualities defined our SMLS students and the values that our teachers strive to teach.  

Each Recipient is given a monetary scholarship award to the Catholic High School they will attend, as well as a plaque engraved with their name.  Recipient names are also engraved on a special school plaque in our school.

The funds for this award are generated by fundraisers sponsored by the St. Mary of the Lakes School PTA.
