Science Fair 2023
April 27th  6-8pm

The SML Science Fair is a school-wide (PreK-8) event. It is an outstanding opportunity to learn, create   and present independent  or group research. 
 

• All students are encouraged to participate.
• Need ideas?  Try sciencebuddies.org or sciencebob.com.  You can also search Pinterest, YouTube, Google, etc. 
• Projects should be limited to 36" of table space (fits tri-fold poster). More space is available upon request..
• Students are invited to use any format of demonstration; posters, structures, interviews or video.
• Students will register   as individual or group (2 -3 students).
• If  you are showing an experiment, please plan to perform your experiment every 15 minutes during the fair.
• If you choose to bring in an animal, they must be kept in cages and not interact with people (i.e. hamsters, turtles, lizards, and other similar caged animals).  Animals may not be out of their cage. They must stay in their cage when inside the building.  Cages must be clear plexiglass type - not a wire cage- and must have a lid so no one can stick their fingers in. 
• Remember to bring additional supplies should your project need a "repair."
• Presentation is a key element and each student should be able to summarize what they have learned.
• Food will be available for purchase.
