Welcome Back to the 2020-21 School Year!
"Be Strong and Courageous"
Joshua 1:9
The Spirit of Catholicism permeates our entire curriculuum and Religion is integrated throughout the day in all subject areas. Homeroom teachers provide instruction, along with our Pastor and Parochial Vicar who provide additional classrooom instruction. Students in Grades 3-8 receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation with their class in the Chapel. Monthly Masses are held and student lead with each class (3-8) offered the opportunity to serve as Mass Leaders. Due to the current CDC guidelines and restrictions with regard to the COVID pandemic, we are not allowing visitors into our school at this time. Therefore, parents and outside guests are not allowed at the School Masses and Prayer Services. We look forward to a day very soon when we can once again welcome our guests to these beautiful celebrations of faith!
During the month of November, each class will study and research the life of a saint and learn the church teaching on the pathway to sainthood. At the All Saints Day Liturgy, student reprentatives from grades PRE K-4 will process in dressed as their class patron saint. Please feel free to talk to your child about their Class Patron Saint and what they are learning about this special person. You just might be surprised with the stories of courage, faith, determination and complete trust in our Lord that helped them on their path to sainthood!
Students in Grades 4-8 participate in the Pray for Vocations Program! Please be on the look out for an email regarding this program and the prayer that you and your child can pray together to encourage vocations to the priesthood, diacontate and religious life.
Our school students begin preparing for Confirmation in 6th grade and are required to complete 30 hours of community service prior to their Confirmation in 8th grade. Hours can now be tracked using the Mobile Serve Tracking App. Your child's teacher will provide instructions on how to get started! In addition, students in grades 6-8 will study the TRUTHS OF THE FAITH and be tested periodically throughout the year!
Second and Eighth Grade participate in special Retreats prior to the celebration of the Sacraments which are generally held in the Spring.
