The Pupil Assistance Committee (PAC) is a school-based, problem-solving group selected to assist staff members with intervention strategies for meeting the learning and/or behavioral needs and interests of students. Because students learn in different ways, PAC offers educators the opportunity to explore resources and services to benefit all students.
The committee meets monthly and consists of volunteer members including the counselor (chairperson), principal and teachers.
Parents, who are an integral part of the process, will be informed by the classroom teacher of the concerns and interventions that are being tried in the classroom. Parents will be notified that the staff member is seeking assistance from PAC, and will be given feedback as to the intervention recommendation(s) of PAC.
