“I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.”Our students begin preparing for Confirmation in 6th grade and are required to complete 30 hours of community service prior to their Confirmation in 8th grade. Hours are now tracked using the Mobile Serve Tracking App. Your child's teacher will provide instructions on how to get started. Community service opportunities are readily available within our parish and school community. Throughout the year our youth ministry program, Y.E.S., Youth Energized in the Spirit, hosts on-site community service projects which students in our parish and school are welcomed to join. Y.E.S, Jr. ( grades 5-7) meet monthly and work on projects which benefit local organizations such as The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, The Christian Caring Center, L.U.C.Y. (Lifting Up Camden’s Youth), Covenant House and Habitat for Humanity. Our 8th graders are invited to join Y.E.S., Sr. every Sunday evening either in-person or virtually. Students are also encouraged to volunteer with organizations or commit to causes on their own as they seek to be the hands, feet and voice of Christ on earth.
